Biography

Florian Lagarde is a French jazz accordionist, originally from Cantal and years old. It covers a wide musical universe. His favorite field is jazz and all that surrounds it, it goes through funk, swing, jazz fusion and world music. Don't forget the roots of his instrument : the "bal musette" and the French song.

He began the accordion at the age of 7 at the music school of Maurs la Jolie, his native village of Cantal (15), with his teacher Elisabeth Goudoubert. He has won many awards in accordion competitions during his adolescence. It was at the age of 18, after his baccalaureate, that he decides to continue his studies in music at the Jean Jaurès faculty in Toulouse in jazz and musicology as well as at the regional conservatory of Toulouse in the classical section. He gets his jazz degree in musicology in 2022 and decides to join the conservatory of Castres to devote himself fully to his heart music: jazz.

Currently at the regional conservatory of Castres, he continues his studies with the aim of obtaining a DEM jazz.

Projects

Projects Musette:

Florian has been giving concerts since he was very young. It's at the age of 12 years that he begins to make popular dances with orchestras and in solo first in his region and then throughout France. His youth was marked by encounters with several renowned accordionists, notably with Jean Marc Torchy, thanks to him, he recorded his first album in 2014 and then a second in 2016 in which he tackles a guinguette/musette style repertoire.

Florian will also appear on many local and national radio stations as well as in television program dedicated to the accordion such as “TV8 mont blanc” by Jean-Robert Chapelet, “ On an accordion tune” by Michel Pruvot and “1,2,3 musette” organized by Jérome and Michaël Richard.

Services and concerts

Florian currently offers several services for public but also private parties and continues very regularly to give entertainment and concerts. These different interventions are diverse and address different styles of music for all tastes.

Musette / Variété :

With several musicians or solo, he offers you a repertoire in the musette style for your dances or your festivities. It is also possible to play a repertoire in a variety / French song style (funk, disco, rock, etc…), service only made with several musicians.

Jazz :

In trio, quartet or quintet, Florian performs in concert with his musician friends to public evenings in concert halls and festivals but also for private parties (Opening, cocktail, birthday, etc.)

Currently living in Toulouse, Florian offers accordion and music theory lessons at the music school in Castanet Tolosane (31) but also at home. These courses are open to all and for all levels, from beginners to advanced 7-year-olds to 80 years+.

It is not necessary to know music theory or to have practiced before, everyone is welcome!
